As we sail into the horizon of 2024, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for the unwavering dedication and commitment you’ve shown throughout the year we are leaving behind. Your hard work, combined with your ingenuity, has been instrumental in steering us through the challenges we’ve faced and in building a better future for Anglo-Eastern.
Two overarching themes have guided our journey in 2023: decarbonisation efforts across our managed fleet and our digital transition. These aren’t just buzzwords; they represent our commitment to a sustainable and innovative future. As we embark on the new year, these priorities will remain at the forefront of our efforts.
But amidst all the headlines and innovations, let’s never forget that the ship management industry is, at its core, a people industry. Our success hinges on the expertise and dedication of the 39,000 seafarers who call Anglo-Eastern home, and countless others ashore who work tirelessly to provide the best ship management services in the world. Rest assured, we will continue to invest in our most valuable asset – our people.

Talking about standards, it’s not enough to merely agree on what ‘good’ looks like. We must walk the talk and deliver on those standards each and every day. Excellence is our guiding star, and together, we’ll continue to set the bar high. Anglo-Eastern’s promise is to ‘do a proper job’, never settling for second best. We are committed to delivering a higher standard, and to lead our industry in doing so.
One significant development on the horizon is the integration of LEO communications satellites. This is a game-changer for life at sea, both for leisure and business. It promises improved connectivity, making life at sea safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable. We’ll be enrolling many more ships in this endeavour next year, building on the 200 we plan to have equipped within this year.
As we look ahead, my heart is filled with optimism. The year to come holds the promise of positive evolution for us all, with many ships in the pipeline. Together, we’ll chart a course toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
