
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Strategic Perspective: Supports senior team members on major procurement tasks or projects and may lead one or more minor procurement projects executes tactical initiatives in support of categories. Builds knowledge on strategic sourcing, operational purchasing and supply chain and interfaces between them.
Contract Management: Monitors contract KPI performance; produces reporting material to track and benchmark purchases, cost reductions, and identify additional areas of opportunity. Supports senior team members in monitoring contract status and provide early warning for potential contract expiries.
Sourcing: Supports sourcing and/or cost optimization projects through the strategic sourcing and project management processes and may lead smaller sourcing projects independently. Learns the Sourcing skill set through involvement in a broad range of diversified Sourcing initiatives, performing tasks such as demand mapping, creation of sourcing events, creation of advanced total cost analyses, and supporting negotiations and contracting. He/She interprets data, collaborates with internal stakeholders, and ensures thorough implementation of new contracts for use by the Purchasers of the Sea Sourcing partners.
Maintenance & Development of Systems: Learns and adheres to required workflows, maintains & develops internal tools and dashboards under guidance of senior team members, related to contract and vendor management, purchasing support, spend management, contract compliance etc., Identifies and socialises opportunities for improvements.
Supply Management: Collaborates with Category Managers to understand drivers behind supply planning and distribution strategies for individual categories. Works with senior team members to implement strategies for management of supply risks (demand, supply, environmental and business continuity).
Teamwork: Will be able to perform well in a complex organization where agility is required to serve all stakeholders in line with their requirements and expectations. Is cognizant of different ways of cooperating and consciously utilizes the best approach, based on the context. Stays generally aware of major development in other categories and involves himself/herself in the work of colleagues by offering support, guidance, and constructive feedback when relevant. Pro-actively shares best practice.
Data analytics Can build knowledge of how and why data analysis is required, how to structure and populate a Total Cost model, including a baseline based on historical data. Demonstrates ability to intuitively structure data extracts from a range of sources and ability to extract high level key findings in analysis. Performs data analysis with very few errors and is able to independently review conclusions in search for irregularities.
Internal Compliance: Is familiar with the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Quality Policies and understands the responsibilities and requirements included in Sea Sourcing partners’ policies including their ESG programs. They understand their duty to report any environmental noncompliance via the Sea Sourcing partners open reporting system as per relevant guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a Procurement function, with preference for Category Management and/or Strategic Sourcing roles,
- Experience working in a global corporation with stakeholders across multiple locations is a plus,
- Formal education within Business, Economics, Finance, Logistics, or related field,
- Maturity to take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, and the energy and confidence to drive an agenda of continuous development,
- Ability to research market dynamics within the procurement categories and present the output in a well-structured manner
- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and willing to quickly seek guidance to progress projects and tasks,
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficient presentation skills,
- Self starter who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment,
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills are required as well as excellent attention to accuracy and detail,
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
