Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst work closely with BI Manager, data integration team and web team to deliver meaningful insight Power BI dashboard across the Anglo Eastern Group. This includes translating business requirements into technical specification and dashboard development using agile methodology. While developing BI applications, the analyst must also explore and use tools to enhance data availability, such as ETL, data analysis, and data massage. The analyst must ensure all functional specifications are well developed, maintained, monitored, and improved continuously.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with BI Manager to develop and deliver Power BI dashboards projects to support different business teams
• Maintain and support existing dashboards / PBI server
• Collaborate with different stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate the business requirements into technical requirements
• Conduct and provide training sessions to different teams within the Anglo Eastern Group
• Good understanding of database models and data warehouse ETL development
• Hands-on development on data warehouse

• Minimum 5 years of experience in BI role focus on Power BI development, data analytics, data modelling, and database development
• Expert in Microsoft Power BI data modelling and visualization techniques development using DAX and Power Query M
• Expert and good understanding in creating dashboard measures and dimensions using modern data model using snowflake and star schema
• Proficiency in designing data pipelines and dashboards to support different reporting purposes
• Ability to implement row-level security for data with comprehensive understanding of Power BI's application security layer models
• Proficiency in ETL design, data modelling, and SQL Server scripting
• Good understanding of data governance processes and data governance techniques
• Experience in building paginated reports in SSRS and Power BI’s paginated reports
• Experience in SSIS and SSAS is an advantage
• Nice to have SQL optimization knowledge
• PowerApps and Power Automate development is a plus
